On Tuesday, May 12, CTHA held its 7th Annual meeting featuring keynote speaker Interim President and CEO of Trust for America's Health Richard Hamburg. Hamburg, a nationally-renowned health policy advocate, spoke about trends to combat the childhood and family obesity epidemic nationally. Almost 35% of U.S. adults (78.6 million) are overweight or obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Statistics also show 33% of youth ages 2-19 qualify as overweight or obese. While Hamburg can't say that the corner has been turned, he can say the turn is in progress.annualmeetingflyer-nosponsors_(1)-page-001.png
